Drupal is written in PHP to display and manage content and functionalities to a wide variety of website contents. It is used as a back-end system and provides a content management framework for the developers. The process involves grouping of modules and blocks that are already been made by the developers which save time and increases the efficiency quality of work at the same time.

The backend-Admin is user-friendly but it also has a simpler interface. It displays all the different functionality in the admin page; each one is organized per category and has necessary guides and descriptions for the users.

Fun Facts:

Drupal was originally written by the Belgian Dries Buytaert as a message board, Drupal became an open-source project in 2001. The name Drupal represents an English rendering of the Dutch word druppel, which means "drop" (as in a water droplet). The name came from the now-defunct Drop.org website, whose code slowly evolved into Drupal. Buytaert wanted to call the site "dorp" (Dutch for "village") for its community aspects, but mistyped it when checking the domain name and thought the error sounded better.
